EPA Settlement Provides $48M For NH Superfund Site

Law360, New York (November 21, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A comprehensive settlement agreement between the U.S. government, the state of New Hampshire and 101 potentially responsible parties will finance the $48 million cleanup of a Superfund site in Plaistow, N.H., the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Thursday.

A consent decree regarding the 41-acre Beede Waste Oil Superfund Site was lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire in April 2007 and was entered as a final order earlier this year.
