Law360, New York (February 02, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Two conservation groups have sued the U.S. Forest Service to stop a logging and road-building project in Montana's Gallatin National Forest that they claim could have detrimental effects on already-dwindling Yellowstone grizzly bear and moose populations.
Native Ecosystems Council and Alliance for the Wild Rockies launched the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana against the Forest Service and Tom Tidwell, regional forester for the northern region of the USFS.
