Analyzing The Waxman-Markey Draft

Law360, New York (April 30, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- At the end of March, 2009, the Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and the Chairman of the House Energy and Environment subcommittee, Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., introduced the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (the “Waxman-Markey Draft”).

The Waxman-Markey Draft would establish a national renewable energy standard and a nationwide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S.
