Order ~Util - Set/Reset Motion and R&R Deadlines/Hearings
TEXT ONLY ORDER: On 07/20/2026, Plaintiff filed a 27 Notice of Change of Address and a 28 Letter to the Court stating neither the Clerk nor Defendants' attorneys were sending her copies of the pleadings. Plaintiff is reminded that she is under a continuing obligation to keep the Clerk and each opposing party informed of any change in her address. See C.D. Ill. L.R. 16.3(K) ("Every pro se plaintiff must notify the Clerk of the Court in writing of any change of address during the entire pendency of his case."). Upon receipt of Plaintiff's Notice of Change of Address, the Clerk updated Plaintiff's address on the docket. Prior to that, all filings were sent to the address Plaintiff initially provided. It is unclear whether Plaintiff is in receipt of Defendant Walmart's pending Motion to Dismiss (D. 24 and D. 25) or the Court's Rule 12(c) Notice (D. 26). The Clerk is DIRECTED to mail these filings to Plaintiff's update address, along with a copy of this Order. As a onetime courtesy, Court will sua sponte extend the deadline for Plaintiff to file a response to the 24 Motion to Dismiss to August 11, 2026. The Court further reminds Plaintiff that, going forward, failure to promptly notify the Clerk of Court in writing of any address change will result in dismissal of this case. See CDIL L.R. 16.3(K). Entered by Judge Michael M. Mihm on 07/21/2026. (RES)
