MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: The parties are directed to send copies of the supplemental settlement letters to Judge Gilbert at Settlement_correspondence_Gilbert@ilnd.uscourts.gov. Settlement letters are not to be filed on the CM-ECF system. Mailed notice (ags) (Entered: 06/08/2026)
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: The Court thanks the parties for promptly forwarding their settlement correspondence per the Court's last order 32 . That correspondence consists of short emails that simply make a monetary demand and offer. The Court directs the parties to comply with Magistrate Judge Gilbert's Standing Order for Settlement Conferences at www.ilnd.uscourts.gov/Judges, which requires a more fulsome explanation of each party's evaluation of its case, its position on the merits, and its settlement position. The parties should agree on dates for the exchange of those supplemental letters either before the status hearing set for 6/15/26 or the Court will set dates for that exchange at that time along with a date for a settlement conference. The parties letters should include, in addition to the information required in the Standing Order, a description of any information either party wants from the other before the settlement conference and of the discovery that either side intends to take of the other, including the identity of any fact witnesses who will need to be deposed, both party and non-party witnesses, if the settlement conference is not successful. Mailed notice (ags) (Entered: 06/04/2026)
