.Order Order to Show Cause ~Util - Set/Reset Deadlines
MINUTE ORDER: On April 28, 2026, the Court directed the Plaintiff to file any response to the Defendant's 5 Motion to Dismiss by May 28, 2026. In doing so, the Court warned the Plaintiff that if she failed to respond to the Defendant's Motion, "the Court may (1) treat the Motion as conceded, … (2) rule on the Motion based on the Defendant's arguments alone and without considering [her] arguments; or (3) dismiss [her] claims for failure to prosecute." ECF No. 7. The Plaintiff's response deadline is now two months passed and the Plaintiff has not filed any response. Accordingly, the Court ORDERS the Plaintiff to SHOW CAUSE, in writing, by August 3, 2026, explaining why this action should not be dismissed for failure to prosecute. If the Plaintiff fails to satisfactorily respond to this order, the Court may dismiss the action without further notice. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 16(f)(1)(c); LCvR 83.23. Signed by Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan on 7/2/2026. (lcal)
