Filed: May 03, 2024 | Entered: May 03, 2024 CASSELL v. JP MORGAN CHASE BANK, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
442(Civil Rights: Jobs) | Indiana Southern
Entry
ENTRY - Defendant JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association ("Chase"), has responded to Plaintiff's Complaint in this action by filing a Motion to Dismiss and Compel Arbitration. Dkt. 8 In that motion, Chase argues that a binding arbitration agreement between the Parties precludes the entire action from being litigated in federal court. Dkt. 8 In light of this motion, the Court notifies the Parties that it does not intend to schedule an initial pretrial conference in this matter while that motion remains pending. If a Party believes that a conference with the undersigned would be appropriate while the Motion to Dismiss and Compel Arbitration remains pending, that Party may file a motion requesting a conference, which will be promptly set. Signed by Magistrate Judge Kellie M. Barr on 05/03/2024.(AAS) (Entered: 05/03/2024)
