Order on Motion for Extension of Time
PAPERLESS ORDER on Defendant's Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time. THIS CAUSE is before the Court on Defendant Terrell Jones's ("Defendant") Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to File Reply in Support of his Motion to Dismiss (the "Motion"). See ECF No. 85 . In the Motion, Defendant provides that Plaintiff Felisha Williams ("Plaintiff") filed her Consolidated Response in opposition to the pending Motions to Dismiss on July 28, 2026, and that Defendants Miami-Dade County and Shawn Simmons have already been granted an extension through and including August 18, 2026 to file their Reply. See ECF No. 84 . Defendant further represents that allowing the same extension will promote efficiency by permitting the parallel Motions to Dismiss to proceed on the same track and notes that undersigned counsel is simultaneously preparing for various discovery proceedings and an upcoming jury trial. See ECF No. 85 at 2. Defendant also represents that Plaintiff does not oppose the requested extension. See id. In light of the circumstances set forth in the Motion and the lack of opposition, the Court finds good cause to grant the requested extension. Accordingly, the Motion, ECF No. 85 , is GRANTED. Defendant Terrell Jones shall file his Reply in support of the Joint Motion to Dismiss no later than August 18, 2026. Signed by Magistrate Judge Marty Fulgueira Elfenbein on 7/29/2026. (MFE)
