Minute Order
MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey on 7/21/2026.
Plaintiffs move to seal an unredacted version of their motion for class certification and several exhibits because defendant Lens.Com designated some of those exhibits as either "confidential" or "attorneys' eyes only" during discovery. 82 Plaintiffs theorize that, because Lens.com "asserts that the documents and testimony contain confidential commercial and proprietary information, [it] is in the best position to explain why the exhibits should remain under seal and to demonstrate that the applicable legal standard is satisfied." Lens.com did not file a response to the motion to seal.
Lens.com is ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE by July 31, 2026, why the unredacted motion for class certification 80 and its attached exhibits should not be unsealed. Lens.com must apply the compelling-reasons standard for dispositive motions articulated in Kamakana v. City and County of Honolulu, 447 F.3d 1172 (2006) and explain why each exhibit it seeks to keep sealed independently meets that standard.
