Pretrial Conference - Final 1 - Common Prompts (Text Only) Order on Motion in Limine
MINUTE ENTRY for proceedings held before Judge Diane J Humetewa: Final Pretrial Conference held on 5/9/2024. The parties shall notify the Court of the outcome of their 7/12/2024 Mediation. Jury Trial logistics discussed. Eight Jurors shall be seated. No alternates will be seated. The Rule of Exclusion is invoked. Defendant shall respond to Plaintiffs' Motion for Reconsideration (Doc. 114 ) and specifically address the difference between the Takata Corporation and the Takata trust fund within ten (10) days. For reasons stated on the record, Defendant's Sixth Motion in Limine (Doc. 90 ) and Seventh Motion in Limine (Doc. 91 ) are denied. The parties are directed to meet and confer on which trial exhibits will be objected to, as set forth on the record. Named Plaintiff Maria Griego is dismissed from the case. Two additional witnesses will be allowed to testify as to Plaintiff's relationship with Decedent in light of Plaintiff Maria Griego's recent passing. Limited four-hour depositions of each of these witnesses will also be allowed. Within seven (7) days, the parties shall notify the Court of agreed upon trial dates offered by the Court. Finally, a final version of the Court's approved Jury Instructions will be provided to the parties at the status conference to be set by separate order.
