Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 4:23 PM ET) -- Rigel Optics Inc. has been hit with a $90,000 criminal fine and is barred from making exports or contracting with the U.S., following its admission that it made unauthorized international sales of night vision goggles.
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security ordered the fine and penalties Thursday, after Rigel Optics copped to willfully exporting a make of night vision goggles without first obtaining a license or authorization from the Department of State.
