Hawaii Court Transfers Bagram Bribery Case To Ill.

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 1:42 PM ET) -- A federal judge in Hawaii paved the way Tuesday for an Illinois court to merge a pair of nearly identical prosecutions against Afghan-American brothers accused of bribing a U.S. military official for construction contracts at Bagram Airfield.

Judge U.S. Magistrate Judge Richard L. Puglisi transferred the Hawaii prosecution to the Northern District of Illinois, where he expects it will be combined with the companion case there.
