Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 8:42 PM ET) -- Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that Educational Testing Service, the nonprofit behind many of the tests used in college admissions, paid $4.6 million to settle allegations that it improperly billed the U.S. Department of Education on government contracts.
ETS illegally invoiced the federal government to help cover its retirees' medical benefits even though it had stopped funding the program itself, U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Paul J. Fishman said.
