Judge Won't Bar Evidence In Pa. Sen. Bribery Case

Law360, Wilmington (May 26, 2011, 3:16 PM ET) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday refused to bar evidence obtained in a search of former Pennsylvania state Sen. Raphael Musto's house in connection with allegations that the politician accepted a company's bribes in exchange for help in securing government projects.

Musto was indicted on six counts in November — including honest services wire fraud, corrupt receipt of bribes and false statements — for allegedly pocketing $25,000 in cash from a construction company for promoting its candidacy in government projects. Musto also allegedly accepted gift baskets...
