Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 4:53 PM ET) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office advised the U.S. Army last month to reconsider a $68 million staffing contract bid from VSE Corp., saying it assumed too much when it terminated VSE's award over the company's hiring of a former Army deputy.
The GAO sustained a protest from VSE on Nov. 21 regarding the termination of a May award for a so-called alternative staffing contract for the military branch's Rapid Equipping Force. The contract was instead awarded to General Dynamics Information Technology Inc.
