Belgian Co. Avoids Up To $100M In FCA Bid-Rigging Fines

Law360, New York (February 16, 2012, 8:03 PM ET) -- A Virginia federal judge on Tuesday refused to impose proposed civil penalties of up to $100 million on a Belgian transport company that a jury said rigged bids for U.S. Department of Defense contracts, ruling the penalties would be unconstitutionally excessive.
