Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 4:41 PM ET) -- Direct Resource Inc. will pay $450,000 to resolve a False Claims Act suit claiming the office supplier sold products manufactured in China to federal agencies in violation of the Trade Agreements Act, the U.S. Department of Justice said Tuesday.
The lawsuit in Washington federal court accused Direct Resource of flouting a requirement in its contracts with the U.S. General Service Administration to sell only products manufactured in a list of countries deemed to trade fairly with the U.S.
