Bus Contractor Cops To School District Kickback Scheme

Law360, Chicago (June 12, 2012, 3:08 PM ET) -- A former transportation company owner pled guilty to wire fraud and tax charges Tuesday under a deal with prosecutors, admitting he took part in a scheme to funnel kickbacks to North Chicago school board members in exchange for student bus contracts worth millions.

Tommie Boddie pled guilty to one count of wire fraud for participating in what his plea agreement calls "a scheme to defraud and deprive the citizens of North Chicago and the North Chicago School District of their right to honest and faithful services...
