Judge Says Ex-NY Sen. Espada Must Prove He's Poor

Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 6:19 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Monday ordered former New York state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr., who was accused of bid rigging and stealing from a health network, to prove he is poor if he wants a government-paid lawyer in a separate criminal tax case.
