Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 4:13 PM ET) -- Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC will hand over almost $830,000 to resolve allegations a subsidiary reported bogus wholesale prices that resulted in overpayments by Idaho's Medicaid system, the state's attorney general announced Friday, marking the latest corporate scalp for the state in a yearslong investigation that has netted $23 million.
Sanofi, which admitted no wrongdoing, joins more than 30 other drugmakers that made payments to resolve Idaho’s lawsuits. The cases generally allege that pharmaceutical companies inflated their average wholesale prices, leading Medicaid to reimburse pharmacies at excessive rates....
