The DCAA's Expanding Role In FCA Cases

Law360, New York (August 08, 2012, 1:21 PM ET) -- In fiscal year 2011, the federal government recovered nearly $4 billion from awards or settlements in False Claims Act actions. An increasing number of FCA cases are being initiated by referrals from the Defense Contract Audit Agency during routine audits based on the DCAA’s application of “fraud indicators.”
