Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 6:26 PM ET) -- Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania on Tuesday asked a state judge to force Scranton, Pa., to cough up more than $2 million in unpaid bills the cash-strapped city has racked up with the insurer.
The complaint says Scranton has defaulted on a $2 million confession of judgment promissory note it entered into with the city in October. The note called for the total amount to be paid in full by January, according to the suit.
