Suit Dropped After US Axes $16.5M Amazon Kindle Contract

Law360, New York (August 20, 2012, 2:54 PM ET) -- K-NFB Reading Technology Inc. on Monday dismissed its lawsuit protesting Amazon.com Inc.'s exclusive $16.5 million government contract to supply U.S. Department of State employees with Kindle e-readers, just days after the agency agreed to cancel the contract.

Wellesley Hills, Mass.-based K-NFB voluntarily dismissed its July 26 complaint in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, which alleged it was not given a chance to bid on the contract because the government’s solicitation said only the Kindle would meet its needs.
