GAO Backs Philips' Protest Of VA Imaging System Contract

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 9:08 PM ET) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has sustained Philips Healthcare Informatics Inc.'s protest of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' award of a picture archiving and communications system contract to McKesson Technologies, according to a ruling released Thursday.

The GAO held May 14 that VA improperly assessed McKesson's bid for the contract, saying it failed to conduct an adequate evaluation of McKesson's past performance.
