KDH, Curtis End IP, Contract Suit Over Navy Sonar System

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 4:10 PM ET) -- Defense contractor KDH Defense Systems Inc. and sonar engineering firm Curtis Technology Ltd. on Friday settled their long-running contract and patent dispute over a multimillion-dollar sonar system designed to help the U.S. Navy detect swimmers underwater.

In an order dismissing the suit, U.S. District Judge Mary A. McLaughlin said the parties resolved their issues. No details of the settlement were released.

An attorney for KDH declined to comment on the deal, saying the terms are confidential. Counsel for Curtis did not immediately respond to a request...
