DOJ Subpoenas Cordis Over Bile-Duct Stent Marketing

Law360, New York (August 05, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has hit Johnson & Johnson unit Cordis Corp. and Abbott Laboratories with subpoenas related to the marketing of bile-duct stents.

The companies said in regulatory filings that they had received subpoenas in June from the U.S. attorney's office in Massachusetts.

News of the Cordis subpoena was included in the 10-Q form New Brunswick, N.J.-based Johnson & Johnson filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.
