Summary Judgment Denied In Humira Patent Case

Law360, New York (May 14, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Centocor Inc. and New York University have been denied summary judgment in their patent infringement case against Abbott Laboratories over its popular arthritis drug Humira.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday shot down the plaintiffs' requests for summary judgment of infringement and nonobviousness.
