Law360, New York (June 29, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. has said it will stop making and selling the controversial acne medication Accutane, a drug that has been at the center of a slew of product liability suits, in the United States.
Roche said in a statement dated Friday that the decision to take the drug off the U.S. market was done for “business reasons” after reevaluating a number of the company's medications that are also available in generic form.
