Bayer Hit With Injury, Death Suits Over Yaz, Yasmin

Law360, New York (July 14, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bayer Corp. has been hit with four federal liability lawsuits that claim the pharmaceutical giant's popular Yaz and Yasmin oral contraceptives caused injury or death in women who used them.

The first of the recent group of lawsuits, filed July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, says plaintiff Marie Becker suffered a stroke in July 2006 as a direct result of using Yasmin.
