Law360, New York (August 12, 2009, 7:25 PM ET) -- Sanofi-Aventis has reached a deal with Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. in a long-standing patent infringement suit over Watson’s attempt to market a generic version of the blockbuster blood thinner Plavix.
Judge William Walls of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey dismissed the lawsuit Tuesday based on the settlement. A representative for Sanofi declined to comment on the deal, while attorneys for Watson could not immediately be reached for comment.
