Law360, New York (October 07, 2009, 3:58 PM ET) -- Eli Lilly & Co. indicated Wednesday that it will settle a lawsuit with South Carolina just as the state was set to seek $6 billion in a trial over allegations that the drug company improperly marketed its antipsychotic Zyprexa for off-label uses.
Lilly reached a "tentative" settlement in the South Carolina state court case but will not disclose the terms until the agreement can be finalized, according to a news report from Bloomberg that was confirmed by Marni Lemons, a company spokeswoman.
