Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 6:40 PM ET) -- In the latest of a series of state settlements over Zyprexa, Eli Lilly & Co. has agreed to pay $45 million to South Carolina to resolve allegations it improperly marketed the antipsychotic drug for off-label uses.
South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster said Friday that the deal was the largest monetary settlement any state in the U.S. had won from Lilly and the second-largest state settlement in South Carolina history.
