OraSure To Pay $3M To Settle HIV Test Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 1:40 PM ET) -- OraSure Technologies Inc. has agreed to hand over $3 million to Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH and Church & Dwight Co. Inc., putting an end to a patent infringement dispute over HIV antibody tests.

OraSure revealed the truce Thursday — including a wide-ranging licensing agreement between the parties — which would resolve litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
