Law360, New York (December 04, 2009, 5:23 PM ET) -- Ahead of a meeting of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's pediatric advisory board next week, a panel of medical reviewers for the agency is reportedly urging the FDA to conduct an additional review of the effects antipsychotics may have on children's weight.
While the drugs, which include blockbusters such as AstraZeneca PLC's Seroquel, Pfizer Inc.'s Geodon and Eli Lilly & Co.'s Zyprexa, already contain warning labels regarding possible weight gain and other side affects, those warnings are not specific to children, the letter said, according...
