Alcon Lens Patent Suit Headed To Trial In One Piece

Law360, New York (March 23, 2010, 5:54 PM ET) -- A federal judge has denied Alcon Inc.’s bid to hold separate trials on damages and liability in a patent infringement suit brought by an ophthalmologist over the company's ReSTOR line of intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery.

Judge Jane Boyle of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Monday denied Alcon’s motion to bifurcate the damages and liability phases of the upcoming trial.
