CIBA Loses Injunction Bid In Acuvue Case

Law360, New York (April 27, 2010, 7:14 PM ET) -- CIBA Vision Corp., which last year won a court ruling that rival Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc.'s Acuvue Oasys contact lenses infringe two of its patents, has lost its bid for a permanent injunction barring sales of J&J's lenses, with a judge ruling that an injunction is not necessary to prevent irreparable harm and is not in the public interest.
