Mylan Violated Mirapex Patent, Judge Rules

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 7:23 PM ET) -- A federal judge has found that a Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH patent was violated through Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s efforts to introduce a generic version of restless leg syndrome treatment Mirapex.

Judge Faith S. Hochberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Wednesday signed a consent judgment in favor of Boehringer on its claims that Mylan’s abbreviated new drug application for generic 0.75 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets infringed U.S. Patent Number 4,886,812.
