Zicam Maker Settles 18 Economic Injury Suits

Law360, New York (August 20, 2010, 4:11 PM ET) -- The maker of the Zicam cold remedy said Friday that it would print warnings on its packaging as part of a settlement with plaintiffs in 18 separate class actions alleging a gel version of the remedy caused users to lose their sense of smell.

In an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Matrixx Initiatives Inc. said it had reached a memorandum of understanding with attorneys representing the plaintiffs in the economic injury cases.
