Law360, New York (February 04, 2011, 4:04 PM ET) -- Kidney care provider DaVita Inc. agreed to buy DSI Renal Inc. for about $690 million on Friday, looking to expand its dialysis and treatment services throughout the country.
Denver-based DaVita entered into the deal to buy DSI, a Nashville, Tenn.-based company that currently operates 106 dialysis centers that treat more than 8,000 patients in 23 states.
DaVita Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry said the acquisition will help bring the company's kidney treatment services to DSI's patients.
