Law360, New York (March 07, 2011, 5:58 PM ET) -- Bovie Medical Corp. on Monday said it would receive $750,000 as part of a settlement in a suit brought by Medtronic Inc. and licensee Salient Surgical Technologies Inc. alleging that Bovie's saline-enhanced electrosurgical resection device infringed a Medtronic patent.
The parties filed a stipulation and motion to dismiss the case on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Under the settlement, Medtronic would cough up $750,000 in exchange for Bovie leaving the saline-enhanced electrosurgical device business and acknowledging the validity and enforceability...
