Medtronic Loses Bid To Take Lenox Suit To Arbitration

Law360, New York (May 05, 2011, 6:19 PM ET) -- A Colorado federal judge on Thursday rejected Medtronic Inc.’s bid to enforce a license agreement provision and allow an antitrust suit accusing it of trying to push Lenox MacLaren Surgical Corp. out of the bone mill device market to proceed in arbitration.

Medtronic and several units sought to stay the case and compel arbitration, but U.S. District Judge Richard Matsch found that the antitrust claims against the defendants in this case did not stem from or relate to the license agreement.
