Pa. Jury Slaps J&J Unit With $10M Motrin Verdict

Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 5:13 PM ET) -- A jury in Pennsylvania state court hit a Johnson & Johnson unit with a $10 million verdict Friday, holding the company liable for skin burns and blindness suffered by a girl who took Children’s Motrin to treat a fever and cough.

Jurors deliberated for two days before ruling McNeil Consumer Products Co. was responsible for the injuries of Brianna Maya, according to the Maya family’s attorney, Keith Jensen.
