Law360, New York (September 14, 2011, 3:36 PM ET) -- Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. hit Accord Healthcare Inc. with a patent infringement lawsuit Monday in New York federal court, striking back against the generic-drug maker’s bid to produce its own version of the blockbuster diabetes drug Actos.
Accord is the latest in a series of drugmakers targeted by Takeda over their attempts to produce generic versions of Actos, as the Japanese firm works to stave off generic competition until at least August 2012.
