Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 7:28 PM ET) -- CooperVision Inc. expanded a contact lens recall Tuesday, saying it had discovered additional lots of lenses that contain a level of residue that could lead to eye injuries.
The Cooper Cos. Inc. unit found certain lots of Avaira Sphere lenses with silicon oil residue that can cause severe eye pain, hazy vision, discomfort or an eye injury requiring medical treatment. The company called back certain lots of Avaira Toric lenses in August over similar issues.
