Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 8:20 PM ET) -- Four ex-Synthes Inc. executives will reportedly be sentenced Monday for allegedly conducting illegal clinical trials of bone cement during surgeries on the elderly, after prosecutors asked a judge to sentence them to prison for running the "rogue" trials.
The U.S. Department of Justice recommended prison sentences of up to one year for each of the ex-Synthes executives, who are charged with violating federal food and drug laws in connection with bone cement that was tied to patient deaths, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
