Lens Maker Sued Over Hazy Quality Control Standards

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 12:00 AM ET) -- A shareholder in the parent company of CooperVision Inc. launched a class action Tuesday in California federal court accusing the company of playing up the quality of its products when it was about to initiate a massive contact lens recall.

The Cooper Cos. Inc. and several executives violated federal securities laws by misleading the company's shareholders about its quality control, according to a complaint filed in federal court by plaintiff Harold Greenberg.
