Stryker To Pay $15M To End False Marketing Case

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 4:14 PM ET) -- Stryker Biotech LLC reached a plea agreement Wednesday in Massachusetts federal court under which it will pay $15 million to end a criminal case over illegal marketing of a bone surgery device.

The company submitted a change of plea agreement altering its not-guilty plea to guilty after the government filed a superseding indictment in the case changing its charges against the company. Stryker now pleads guilty to one misdemeanor count of misbranding a medical device.
