Activists Push NY Senate On Health Insurance Exchange

Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 6:25 PM ET) -- A coalition of activist groups on Monday called for the New York Legislature to enact a federally mandated health care insurance exchange, putting pressure on Republicans in the state Senate who let a similar effort die last year.

The exchange must be a priority in New York's budget talks, according the 99 Percent New York coalition, which says the creation of the exchange — along with other components of the federal Affordable Care Act — would see health insurance costs plummet both for businesses and individuals....
