Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 6:35 PM ET) -- Hoping to tame out-of-control health care costs, the Massachusetts Senate on Thursday overwhelmingly passed sweeping legislation that would link spending to the size of the state’s economy and provide incentives for medical providers to overhaul their business models.
Lawmakers approved the bill on a 35-2 vote and described the legislation’s cost-capping provisions as unprecedented.
