Glaxo Seeks To Bar Testimony In Paxil Case

Law360, New York (September 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- GlaxoSmithKline has moved to strike portions of the plaintiffs' expert witness testimony in discovery for a case alleging that the antidepressant Paxil caused the plaintiff's violent behavior and suicide attempt.

In court documents filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, defendant SmithKline Beecham Corp. (which does business as GlaxoSmithKline) said that certain portions of the testimony of Dr. Joseph Glenmullen should be stricken and that the court should allow additional time to depose him.
